Often times I hear Pastors/Priests who preach that the world is for us to enjoy and to prosper in. I was also told by a very prominent member of the church that the world is young and we should do everything in our power to preserve it. When I hear these kind of messages I have to question, what Bible are they preaching from. The Lord warns us that we can't serve two Gods, either we serve God or we serve the world. "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." (Matthew 6:24 ). One must look in the mirror and ask themselves, who am I serving? If one serves money, then he is serving the world and isn't serving Jesus. As the bible points out, the LOVE of money is the root of all evil, not money itself. "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." (1 Timothy 6:10).  Sure we need money to function on earth but we must be careful not to live for money and neglect our relationship with God. Jesus warns that it is easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle than a rich man getting into heaven. "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. (24) And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God." (Matthew 19:23-24).  But what does this mean? It means that most people that have riches, fall in love with their money and never find Jesus. The rich man either gets too busy and therefore, he does not have time for Jesus or they simply do not need anything from Him. However, not all wealthy people serve money but, it is few and far between. This generation is serving the world and because they have turned away from God, He is pouring out His judgments. It will take a great tribulation for the world to turn back to God and it seems to be approaching ever so quickly.
I write this article as a clear warning to those who have not found Jesus and are teetering on the brink of destruction. Jesus is coming back very soon and it is the churches job to remove the wool from the eyes of the unbelievers. Let me explain the story of Adam and Eve because there seems to be a great deal of confusion surrounding it. When Adam and Eve sinned against God, the Devil (serpent) took over the world. The garden of Eden that was once flowed with waterfalls of Life and trees of plentiful fruit, now flow with deceit and rotten fruit. In other words, the world was meant to be a beautiful, perfect place for God's creation (in His own image) but instead, was made corruptible by the devil. So the argument that the world is for us to enjoy and prosper in is ludicrous. "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" (Matthew 16:26). I want to remind people that in the end Jesus destroys the earth for its evil and makes a new Earth. Why do you think the earth is destroyed? I'll go with the obvious answer: The earth is destroyed because it is tainted with evil therefore, it has to be destroyed and a new Garden of Eden (New Earth) is made!
While speaking on the world, let me make it very clear.....WE DO NOT GET TO HEAVEN BASED ON WORKS or GOOD DEEDS. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (9) Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9). No man is saved by works or deeds and I can't stress this enough. No one is worthy of heaven except by the Grace of Jesus. Why is it that when preaching to the youths of this world I get this statement, " I have never killed anyone, so I believe I am going to heaven." "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23). All have sinned, not just murderers and adulterers....ALL! If we aren't born again through Jesus, then we are just as guilty as a murderer of sin and have fallen short of the glory of God. With that being said, lets not forget that when we do good works and help others it is not acceptable to announce it over the bullhorn. We are suppose to good works in the sight of God, not mankind. You are better off not doing good works than to do announce them to man. "Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. (2) Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward." (Matthew 6:1-2). When we do good works it is supposed to be for God and then the reward is of God. If a good work is for a political reason then the reward has already been given by your peers. I challenge my readers to live for Jesus rather than the world and make a real effort to resist the urges of this sinful world. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:7). Turn away from the world before it's to late, and seek Jesus ALWAYS!!  http://scriptureprophecy.com/
